Trends in attacks on databases

How to implement an adequate protection of information and accomplish with related regulatory frameworks?

We all know that we must consider the security of a database as the most important thing in the process of implementing solutions that interact with sensitive information.

That is, if the data base management systems (RDBMS), in which we all implicitly trust to keep our sensitive data are not secure, the impact on our lives and our society in general could be devastating.

We will address this issue in depth and social perspective at the same time.

We can say that there is money in any part of a network, and a key one is the database server. When we say that modern economies are based on computers, it really means that modern economies rely on RDBMS (Relational Database Management System).

The databases are behind the systems that affect almost every aspect of our lives: our bank accounts, medical records, employment records, tax records, real estate/personal assets registration details, groceries. Almost every piece of information in our lives are stored in a modern Management System Relational Database (RDBMS) as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Informix, MySQL, Sybase ASE, and so on. These are the reasons why we should consider the security of the database as something important and essential.

We’ll present:

  • Database Monitoring and Control solutions.
  • Data masking solutions.
